Welcome to the
Realm of Cloud Command Deck.
Step off the sidelines of passive theory. Inside Realm of Cloud, you are placed in direct command of live simulated production infrastructure. When a microservice crashes, a Terraform state locks up, or runaway cloud costs trigger executive alarms, your terminal rings with real workplace tickets. You inspect virtual systems, edit live manifests in Monaco, run diagnostic shell commands, and verify your fix against dual-phase anti-cheat validators.
100% simulated sandbox. Zero AWS/GCP bills, no surprise invoice alerts, no credit card required.
Everything runs client-side in your modern browser with WebAssembly, virtual filesystem, and Web Audio.
Downloadable PDF & PNG Certificates of Mastery with unique cryptographic issue IDs.
How Production Incidents Unfold
From the initial PagerDuty siren to verified postmortem resolution, follow the exact standard operating procedure of high-scale engineering teams.
Emergency Dispatch
Receive the incident briefing written by your Team Lead, VP of Infrastructure, or On-Call colleague. Understand the customer blast radius, business impact, and SLA clock.
Sandbox Diagnostics
Probe the virtual filesystem (`/workspace`, `/etc`, `/k8s`, `/var/log`). Execute terminal commands (`kubectl`, `terraform`, `docker`, `grep`, `systemctl`) to locate anomalous logs.
Root-Cause Fix
Open the virtual editor to resolve the underlying bug: fix invalid YAML indentations, patch over-permissive IAM roles, adjust OOM memory limits, or fix Nginx upstream reverse proxies.
Dual-Phase Grader
Submit your patch to the automated test engine. It runs trap-detection assertions and target state validations, minting verified XP and unlocking subsequent career levels.

The 23 Production Engineering Domains
Covering the complete cloud infrastructure lifecycle across 6 pillars. 1,150 real-world incident scenarios total.
Cloud Infrastructure & Platforms
5 Specialized Tracks • 50 Scenarios Each • Levels 1 to 5
AWS/GCP/Azure multi-region compute, VPC CIDRs, S3 object storage, managed NAT
Pod CrashLoopBackOff, CNI network timeouts, DaemonSets, OOMKilled, Ingress
Terraform state locks, drifted AWS resources, cyclic dependencies, HCL modules
systemd crashed units, zombie processes, full inodes, iptables, kernel sysctl limits
Multi-tier blast radius, active-active failovers, RTO/RPO targets, split-brain recovery
5 Company Stages: Startup to Global Giant
Each level scales system complexity, distributed blast radius, and organizational trade-offs.
The Startup
First infrastructure hire. Solve foundational outages: misconfigured ports, single Docker containers, basic bash scripts, and unattached disks.
Growing Co
Dedicated pipelines and staging vs production parity. Multi-container Compose, Terraform states, and initial Kubernetes deployments.
The Scale-Up
High-velocity releases and multi-region Kubernetes clusters. Handle Prometheus alert storms, canary rollouts, and database deadlocks.
Enterprise
Merged systems, legacy workloads, and compliance constraints. Enforce least-privilege IAM, audit trails, and multi-cloud disaster recovery.
Tech Giant
Planetary-scale systems. Global BGP traffic steering, cross-continent database replication, and executive incident postmortems.
Earn Verified Certificates of Mastery
When you complete all scenarios in a level or track, Realm of Cloud generates a high-resolution, print-ready Certificate of Mastery with your official name, verified issue date, and unique cryptographic verification ID. Downloadable in both PDF and PNG formats.
Our Human-First Honor Policy
"This simulator works only if you do the work yourself. Please do not feed scenarios to AI generators or copy-paste external answers. You are here to build genuine production intuition and battle-tested troubleshooting habits. If you get stuck, use the progressive in-app hints."
We don't run invasive surveillance, spy on keystrokes, or lock down browser tabs. We treat you as a mature engineering professional.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an AWS, Azure, or GCP account?
No. Every scenario runs in a self-contained in-browser simulation with simulated cloud CLIs, filesystems, and servers. There is zero cloud spend and no billing account needed.
Do I need Docker or Node.js installed?
No installation is required. Everything runs natively inside your modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) using client-side WebAssembly, JavaScript, and Web Audio.
How is my progress saved?
When logged in, your progress automatically syncs to our Supabase cloud database with additive merging. If offline or in guest mode, it persists in your browser's local storage.
Can I practice on mobile or tablet?
Yes. The workstation features touch-responsive drawers, virtual keyboards, and mobile viewports so you can review tickets and configs on any device.
