Important Security Notice & Data Storage Policy
Realm of Cloud stores authentication credentials using one-way cryptographic SHA-256 salting and in-browser state. Because this is an educational simulation platform:
- Practice Sandbox Only: Do not submit real corporate passwords, live AWS/Azure/GCP secret keys, or confidential intellectual property into any terminal or editor.
- No Liability for Breaches: In the event that user code, browser memory, or client storage is compromised, hacked, or leaked, the platform owner assumes zero liability.
- No Job Representation: Usage data, scores, and certificates are not shared with employers for guaranteed recruitment.
1. Information We Collect
When registering an engineer account, we collect:
- Full Name: Used exclusively to print on your verified Certificate of Mastery.
- Username & Email: Used for account identity and session authentication.
- Salted Password Hashes: Passwords are never stored in plain text; only salted SHA-256 hashes.
- Security Questions: Answers are trimmed, normalized, and stored as cryptographic salted hashes.
- Simulation Progress: Solved scenario IDs, XP transactions, and unlocked level records.
2. Local Storage and Cloud Synchronization
By default, all simulator filesystems (VFS), terminal histories, and scenario attempts execute client-side in your browser. When you create an account, progress is optionally synchronized to a secure Supabase cloud database so you can resume practice across different devices.
3. No Third-Party Tracking or Ads
Realm of Cloud does not sell your personal data, does not serve targeted advertisements, and does not sell user contact lists to third-party recruiters or commercial data brokers.
